It was so wonderful to welcome the incredible David Walliams to Broomwood!
The boys could hardly contain their excitement, and David’s infectious energy only added to the energy of the day. With his hilarious questions about the world’s worst teachers and readings of the funniest bits from his books, the hall was bubbling with laughter and awe.
Both boys and staff were captivated (and a little bit #starstruck) by David’s stories and inspiring words of wisdom:
“love what you do… and….write about what interests you.”
After entertaining and enlightening us for 45 unforgettable minutes, he stayed even longer to personally sign his latest book, Super Sleuth, for every single child – complete with their names!
We are so very thankful to Mr Walliams for such an inspirational visit.
At Broomwood, we’ve always been proud of our talented young writers, but after yesterday, we’re certain there are a few more budding authors in the making!
