Do you have occasional places?

Occasional places are available. We give priority to siblings, Broomwood alumni and children from other Dukes schools. All children joining will need to provide a recent school report and a confidential reference from their current school. Children from Year 1 – 4 will attend a Taster Morning. Children from Year  5 onwards will attend a Taster and Assessment Day

Are you a selective school?

We are broadly non-selective. We do not test children for Little Broomwood or Reception. Further up the school, we like to ensure that we can meet a child’s needs, so they thrive with us.

Do you support children with special needs?

Broomwood is a mainstream school, but we do have  a dedicated learning support team with a positive and modern approach. In line with all schools, we have some children with a diagnosis of dyslexia, ADHD, ASD etc. We approach this on a case-by-case basis. We always ask for any relevant educational psychologist reports, EHCP etc and will work with existing professionals as a team to ensure each pupil gets the appropriate support.

Do you have a school bus?

We run buses from around the local area, including Clapham, Wandsworth, Putney, Earlsfield, Chelsea, Fulham, Balham and Streatham. Please see the transport section of this website.

Where do we buy the uniform?

Our uniform is supplied online by www.schoolblazer.com The new kit usually arrives within 2 or 3 days. The Broomwood uniform was introduced in September 2023 and we do not yet have a second-hand shop. However, we hope to get this up and running as soon as possible.

Do you cater for children with food intolerance/allergies?

We take great care to provide a varied and healthy diet to all our pupils. We know how very serious the consequences can be if proper protocols are not followed, and we pride ourselves in looking after those with special dietary needs, for whatever reason. Our catering team is trained to make sure the food we serve is safe. We also provide vegan, vegetarian, halal and kosher food. For more information or to talk about a specific case please contact admissions@broomwood.com
