We are thrilled to celebrate the incredible success of our Broomwood Girls Ski Team, who were crowned national champions at the English Schools Ski Association (ESSKIA) Dry Ski Slope Finals last weekend in Norwich.
Our talented U12 team — Beth, Maggie and Madeleine — skied superbly throughout the competition, securing first place in their category. This is an outstanding achievement, and we are immensely proud of their commitment, teamwork and determination on the slopes.
The event brought together some of the strongest school ski teams from across the country, making their victory all the more impressive.
Adding to the excitement of the day, the girls had the opportunity to meet Chemmy Alcott, the Olympic alpine skier and British sporting legend, who congratulated them on their win.
This fantastic result is a testament not only to their hard work but also to the growing strength of Broomwood’s ski programme.
If any pupils are interested in joining the Broomwood Boys’ or Girls’ Ski Teams, we’d love to hear from you. We’re so proud of everything the team has achieved this season — and can’t wait to see what’s next.
Well done, girls — national champions!
