This past weekend, Broomwood Bear made a special appearance at the Clapham Mums Summer Fair, a vibrant community event that brought together families, local vendors, and children for a day of fun and festivities. The event was expertly hosted by the team at Millie and Maisie, a popular new local childrens cafe and business on rectory lane in Clapham Old Town.
The fair was a resounding success, featuring a variety of engaging activities that captivated children and parents alike. Kids enjoyed hands-on slime workshops, got creative with bracelet making, and explored “sticker heaven.”
Broomwood Bear was the star of the show, eagerly posing for photos and sharing hugs with the children. The joy was contagious, as even adults passing by couldn’t resist the chance to embrace our cheerful mascot. It was a wonderful opportunity for our school to support local businesses such as Laura Photography London and French Nanny London and engage with the community.
Millie and Maisie, the event’s host, is not only a great venue for such events but also a favourite spot for families in the area. Their soft play area is a must-visit for young children, offering a safe and fun environment for playtime. For parents, the café at Millie and Maisie is a hidden gem—offering some of the best coffee in town, perfect for enjoying while the little ones play. We would recommend that our Broomwood community visit Millie and Maisie – whether you pop in for the soft play or just stop by for a coffee, you’ll be contributing to the vibrant, supportive environment that makes our community thrive.
